随着中国综合国力的提升，英语教育水平的提高，以及中美文化上的冲突等因素，Chinaway项目将根据中方的需求与美国高中生的能力，对教学内容做以下调整。调整后的教学主要有以下几个方面：
教自我介绍: 自我介绍是当今申请任何机会的必须技能，这个介绍不是简单的几句话，而是要对自身形象的塑造。美方学生的示范英语至少要10分钟，要有几个典型人物的经历或能力的英语表达。
教专题讨论: 专题讨论是锻炼学生有效收集信息，组织思想，语言表达与逻辑能力的实践活动，专题讨论能看出分析问题辩解问题，阐明问题的能力。中方希望加强他们学生对各种专题的英语表达。美方学生要准备各种专题的专业词汇与理论表述，然后辅导或协助中方学生准备专题对话。
教辩论赛: 辩论赛不仅仅是一场语言的较量，更是思维、知识与沟通技巧的综合表现，可以培养批判性思维，增强公共表达能力。锻炼用英语辨论，可以增强中国学生讲好中国理论，思想等的能力。美方学生要全英文讲述辩论赛的方法与规则，然后辅导与参与中方学校组织的辩论赛。
创作与表演英语舞台剧: 剧本创作可以培养学生的创造性，表演能锻炼表达能力，演讲能力。围绕都江堰相关主题创作几个优秀英语舞台剧，是中方学校组织这个活动的目标之一。用舞台剧表演的方式也更适合锻炼中国孩子开口说英语的要求。美方学生要先示范简单的英语舞台剧，教低年级的孩子表演舞台剧，协助都江堰高中生编写舞台剧。
由于上述教学难度相当大，没有很好的准备与培训，难以完成这个中国支教，所以从今年开始，我们要提前进行Chinaway项目的培训，以真正达到“帮助他人，提高自己”的目的。

Teach the panel discussion:
Thematic discussion is a practical activity that exercises students' ability to effectively collect information, organize thoughts, language expression and logic. The panel discussion can identify and analyze problems, explain problems and clarify problems. The Chinese want to strengthen their students' English expression on various topics. The American students should prepare professional vocabulary and theoretical expressions for various topics, and then tutor or assist the Chinese students in preparing the dialogues.
Teach debating competitions:
The debate competition is not only a contest of language, but also a comprehensive performance of thinking, knowledge and communication skills, which can cultivate critical thinking and enhance public expression ability. Practicing argumentation in English can enhance the ability of Chinese students to speak Chinese theories and ideas well. The American students should explain the methods and rules of the debate competition in English, and then tutor and participate in the debate competition organized by the Chinese school.
Create and perform English drama: Script writing can cultivate students' creativity, and performance can exercise their ability of expression and speech. The creation of several excellent English drama around Dujiangyan related topics is one of the goals for this activity. The way of stage performance is also more suitable for training Chinese children to speak English. American students should first demonstrate simple English stage plays, teach lower grade children to perform stage plays, and assist high school students to write stage plays.
Since the above teaching is quite difficult and without good preparation and training, it is difficult to complete the volunteer work. Therefore, starting from this year, we will conduct the training of Chinaway project in advance, so as to truly achieve the purpose of "helping others and improving ourselves".
