2016 年我们将一如既往的推出到成都地震灾区(都江堰,彭州,德阳,绵竹,绵阳,北川)等地的支教项目。这些地区的发展得益于世界的志愿者精神。中国广大乡村,城镇的孩子,城市贫民的孩子缺乏了解外界信息的窗口,明天的美好要让每个孩子都有知识,有修养,有见识,所以支教乡村,让世界少一些缺陷。给乡村孩子信息,与他们交流,在帮助别人中,了解世界的多样性,锻炼自己,提升自己,找到自己的擅长与激情。在帮助他人的同时锻炼孩子服务社会的技能,提高孩子的中文能力。

支教内容:

· 给乡村孩子,城市贫民孩子介绍美国文化;

· 给中国孩子上英语口语课;

· 深入了解成都乡村,参观当地文化景点;

· 到熊猫基地做义工,了解如何保护熊猫;

· 参观地震遗址,了解人类在灾难时的抗争;

· 与当地孩子交流,了解中国传统文化;

其中,给绵阳理工学校,要教列车乘务员的工作英语,包括:点餐服务,问路帮助,列车说明,自我介绍等等;

都江堰的中小学,要教口语,美国文化,看图作文,配合当地学校的教材;

高中教学要介绍美国高中校园生活,义工,学科,大学申请,辩论赛。

 Dujiangyan English Teaching Program

This year, Chinaway will be providing volunteers once again to Chengdu earthquake stricken areas such as Dujiangyan, Penzhou, Deyang, Mianzhu, Mianyang and Beichuan. The development of these places has relied solely on global volunteers.  The rural and economically disadvantaged children of China have not had opportunities to understand the world outside their communities. However, the future requires that each and every child be knowledgeable and well-rounded. Therefore, by teaching children in the countryside, our society will become better. Student volunteers will be able to improve themselves, find passions and understand the diversity of the world through teaching and providing information to rural children. Furthermore, they will be able to improve their leadership skills and Chinese capabilities.  

 

The program includes:

 

  • Introducing American culture to rural and economically disadvantaged children;

  • Teaching spoken English to the children

  • Understanding the Chengdu countryside profoundly and visiting the local cultural landscape;

  • Volunteering at the Giant Panda Conservation Center and learning about how to protect pandas; 

  • Visiting earthquake ruins and understanding the hardships of people who live in disaster-stricken areas.

  • Communicating with local children and understanding traditional Chinese culture.

Pick up volunteers at the airport, travel to the destination, and arrange accommodations.

June 19

Divide the volunteers into several groups, become familiar with the group members and training personnel, and become introduced to Chengdu local culture.

June 20

Leave for Mianyang, hold the opening ceremony in the afternoon and have an artistic performance. 

June 21

Teach the students in the Mianyang Institute of Technology during the day.

June 22

Teach the students in the Mianyang Institute of Technology during the day.

Teach the students in the Mianyang Institute of Technology during the day.

Visit the earthquake ruins.

June 25

Morning: write a reflection and distribute new teaching missions. 

Afternoon: Go shopping and visit the ancient city.

Start to teach students in Dujiangyan.

At the Mianyang Institute of Technology, volunteers will teach high speed train attendants oral English used in ordering (food, services, etc.), giving directions, explaining train schedules, and introducing themselves to passengers.

 

At the primary and middle schools in Dujiangyan, volunteers will integrate local teaching material by teaching spoken English, American culture, and paragraph writing based on a picture.

 

At the high school in Dujiangyan, volunteers will introduce American high school life, community service, school subjects, college applications and debate competitions.

A:9年级以上的学生(包括大学生,与在6月份完成了9年级学习的学生),身心健康,愿意到中国做义工,提高自己,帮助中国孩子的学生都可以报名,会不会中文没有关系。如果你是8年级的学生,请你电话给我们,我们了解情况后告诉你可否报名。
